    My parents stay there. Beautiful homes and surroundings. My mom and dad complains about the food and I have looked at the food. It’s really bad. Mentioned it to management and I did not even receive a reply. I do Ucook for my parents. The frail care burned down and it does not look like they are going to build a new frail care. Open space has been there for years. Don’t want to ask, my patents stay there.
    Security is very bad. In the last six months there was 5 incidents of robberies/burglaries. I see that there was a complaint 4 years ago regarding the poor security at this retirement village. I feel this is totally unacceptable. I installed a security system with cameras at my parent’s place as I have very little confidence in the management.

    Concerned about inadequate security at The Protea Retirement Village in Glover avenue. There has been 5 incidents in the past 6 months where elderly residents has been tied up and robbed of their personal belongings. This is a major concern for people that we care about, we want them to be safe and thats why we pay the necessary levy to keep our folks safe.

    My grandparents stay in this facility and we are very disappointed in the food provided to our grandparents. They can’t even eat the food, whereby they lack necessary nutrients for their age! This is horrible and we have approached the facility, no one has taken the time nor interest in following up and improving this matter.

    We stay in the old age home. We enjoy the people in n the estate but the food is horrible, we did raise our concerns however the management has not taken our requests seriously and have not heard back from them at all. We are very very disappointed as we do not know what to do, we have contacted the catering company, they said they will get back to us but we have not received any contact.
    Please can you assist in the food situation, thank you.

    Secure and quiet village with all facilities needed for the aged. Nice layout and allows privacy in a parkland environment. The frail care section is well managed. No parking space issues. Food in cafeteria as well as staff Great.
